Hello Good day to you all. Blogging is in my blood again! I have been struggling lately, having a crisis of faith lets say. I have been letting my old self trick the new me into bad thoughts and mischevious actions! Which brings me to the title, I feel i have not been respecting my-self In Christ, therefore disrespecting my brother who needs to see Christ at work in and through me. Hate and Love are at opposite ends of one another I do believe, and if I am commanded to Love God with all my being and love my neighbor as myself, which I am (Mark 12 28-31 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, "What commandment is the foremost of all?" Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' "The second is this, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these." ) then I should not hate myself, my new self my Identified, consecrated self In Christ. I thank the Lord I have is Light to guide me in my times of darness!

(1John 2 10-11 The one who loves his brother abides in the Light and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going because the darkness has blinded his eyes.)

Reconciliation

Good morning campers, God is good! I have'nt done this in a while so bare with me :) I am awake right now on this Saturday morning about to go to the Methodist church to give away food. I had no idea what to write about this morning so I prayed and then I asked a dear sweet friend what her favorite verse was and so I am gonna go with it.I truly love the verse she told me, Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Reconciliation beautiful I mean here we are enemis of God, and we are reconciled. There are 2 definitions of reconcile 1 is To compose or settle, as Jesus does my soul on a daily, moment by moment basis. When i step out of the way of course

2 is to bring into agreement or harmony; make compatible or consistent as Jesus has done for me with God through the spilling of his blood on Calvary.

Wow now i have been settled and am in harmony with Godthrough the death of Jesus, awesome; oh oh wait it gets better look it says since i am now reconciled i will be saved by the life of Jesus! Not only am I settled and in agreement with God, the creator of the universe I can now live, abide with Him for eternity! Awesomeness. Beautiful, thank you becca. I love you! I want to leave out with afew more verses i was led to while writing this. 2 Corinthians 5:18-22

Now all {these} things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin {to be} sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Happy holidays - now the politically correct greeting, replacing the Merry Christmas which has become so offensive in our wonderful day of enlightenment. It mirrors the obvious, subtle attack on a Christmas that still offers a Saviour.

Christ in a manger is quite acceptable; the truth is this babe, as the son of God, grew to manhood and gave His life as God's gift of everlasting life. No gift is ours until we receive it. "Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift."

Mankind continues to run to and fro hoping to at last have earned his salvation. "Not by works of righteousness, but according to His mercy He saved us." All the charitable deeds in the world cannot save one sinner. Christ is the only Saviour. "There is none other name under Heaven by which we must be saved."

Despite the ever popular opinion polls, sin is still man's tragedy; and Jesus Christ is still God's panacea for this predicament. Material abundance, culture and education all fail to produce peace of mind. "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee."
Those of us who have received Jesus Christ can truly and with loving gratitude sing the carols of Christmas.

"Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!" Is He yours?

Hey hey hey, I am up early and getting ready to go workout, so I thought I would blog again! Just to think of these perceptions of mine escaping to the world! Haha, right. Anywho on to the title; HEART check. First I want to start with a few Bible verses.

DID GOD CREATE EVERYTHING

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.

"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.

The professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created evil. And, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."

The student became quiet and did not answer the professor's hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"

"Of course", replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"

"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The other students snickered at the young man's question.

The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"

The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's Inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

Well hi. Man I have neglected the blog for some time now!! Sorry to all you faithful readers HAHA! Anywho, I feel like Doogie Howser when I start doing this! So, it is the eve of Christmas eve and all the hustle and bustle is still goin on. The day we celebrate our Lord and Saviours birth on seems to get furhter and further away from just that each year. I mean it is the same to me and even more special each year to me, but it just seems that "The World" is making it another Columbus day or something or El Cid day or something. Anyway I am bored sitting here Sunday night and thought I'd type something. This has been a rocky year for me, lots of adjusting with much more to come.

Stewardship

Hi folks good morning. I went to a mens conference at Woodstock FBC a couple years ago and we had these class called breakout groups and one of the breakout groups I went to was called STEWARDSHIP. I was thoroughly disappointed in the way the group was handled. The leader of the group asked what was the first thing you think of when you hear the word stewardship?, and me not having been around "Church Lingo" that much innocently and confidently said "Management" and the group leader shot me down and then one after the other the other men in the group started saying money, money, finances, money... I got really discouraged with such a narrow view of such a wonderfully all encompassing huge word. "STEWARDSHIP"
I read once somewhere that the word steward comes from 2 words: Sty, yes like a pig sty; and ward, like the keeper or watcher of something. This was a very important position in ancient Irsish or scottish villages since a sty is where your pig or future porkchops was housed. The ward of the sty! Steward is no less important today! We are to be stewards in every aspect of life. personally I define stewardship as the management of the resources God has endowed us with, another definition I like reads like this: care for and give of the physical and spiritual resources God has provided you. To condense this immensely and make it short I will say that stewardship is the recognition that my body, my material goods, time, my abilities, and Spiritual gifts have been graciously given to me by God and God is to be Glorified in how I use these!

Galatians Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; {each one} looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. You know I have been hanging out with a friend of mine a lot lately and she has ben through it, just as a lot of us have. She is striving to better herself and I am striving to be a good friend. I just find it hard and daunting to be a friend when everyone has prejudged her due to her past. I am not going to name names but a lot of people have just chewed the girl up and spit her out. I tell these same people that I have done a lot of the same stuff and they say "well we see that you are trying." What in the hell is that supposed to mean? Shouldn't we help someone no matter what, I literally truly genuinely honestly despise that ludacris statement "God helps those who help themselves" PROPOSTROUS!!!!! God does not help anyone! He does not help people get saved, He saves them. I mean sure He is a Helper in time of need and all, but the context of that word help is kind of like stand beside as you walk through something, the knowing of God being with me always is a great help! I wish you people could go through what I go through in a day. I am analyzed to a T. Accountablilty is one thing but instead of reflecting what you see wrong in yourself onto me look in the mirror and let yourself see you! "God helps those who help themselves" ha, God kills the self the I and joins the new I with Christ, this all the help I will ever need!

Depressed

You know fathers day just passed and it was a good time. I celebrated Sunday with my family and Saturday with another. It was fun. I did let it get to though and I have been carrying this burden for quite some time. I think I was meant to be a dad, but God knows I haven't been ready to be one. I have been involved with a couple of abortions and they were not my children, but I am sick to my stomach for being involved. It has really been getting to me lately. Count it all joy though. I had a thing happen to my when I was 17 yrs old called testicular torsion right before my senior year of high school. Testicular torsion is a medical emergency that needs immediate treatment. Death of the testicle can occur in a few hours. I have never gone back for a follow up and I do not know why but I think that because of this that I am not be able to have kids. Hopefully I am totally wrong, but as soon as I get insurance I will find out. I have been spending a lot more time with a friend of mine lately and to see her spend times with her kids and to see her family love those children is just precious, anyway I just wanted to write this today. Sunday was an emotional day for me, I had many ranging emotions going through my body that were confusing me and hurting me emotionally of course. i got into the Bible later on that evening and was reading the Bible and as usual God's everlasting word soothed me and calmed me and peace was obtained. I read Zechariah 4 & 5 and also Acts 9. I do not know why I just shared all this I just felt led to do so today. Thank you for reading and taking an interest and have a nice cool day. God or Satan

Hello! If you live in my area you have probably heard of World Redemption Outreach Center and of the Apostle Ron Carpenter, I wonder who appointed that title?? We had a recent storm and their church was flooded and I heard a member say it was the devil trying to keep them down and that they weren't going to let the devil win! I immediately thought of New Orleans and its devastation and how I heard numerous Christian leaders say that God brought that forth on that sinful place and it made me wonder just who may have flooded the World Redemption Outreach Center with the "Apostle" Ron Carpenter. Now here goes my church lady routine from SNL hmmmmmm maybe it was ummmmm let's see... SATAN! How can a church say that the devil is not going to win when the devil has already been beaten 2,000 years ago?
We are more than Conquerors, that fight has been won for us without us having to do anything. Grace baby grace!

Eternal Security/Suicide

Ok, let's shake those Monday mornin blues out of our body and give a big 'ol stretch and shout, breathe in and out; now SING a song. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhh. Well, this morning at work we got on the topic of suicide and also eternal security. I think I was the only one in that group who believed in Eternal Salvation and I believe I was also the only one that believed you wouldn't go to hell for killing yourself. I think suicide was an accepted thing in the early church, but when numbers started getting low they started saying you would go to hell for it, but I digress. All I can say about eternal security is what various Bible verses say : (NASB): Matthew 28:20 - teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (NASB): John 3:36 - "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (NASB): John 6:37 - "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. (NASB): John 10:29 - "My Father, who has given {them} to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch {them} out of the Father's hand. (NASB): Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NASB): Hebrews 13:5 - {Make sure that} your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,"
Now about suicide, I believe that the only thing on this planet that will send you to hell is not accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Then there is the argument that if a person is saved he wouldn't commit suicide, and to me that is like saying a person who is saved wouldn't commit sin. (NASB): Romans 7:23-25 - but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Now there are only 2 places I can recall off the top of my head where we read of suicide : (NASB): Judges 16:29-31 - Samson grasped the two middle pillars on which the house rested, and braced himself against them, the one with his right hand and the other with his left And Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" And he bent with all his might so that the house fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he killed in his life. Then his brothers and all his father's household came down, took him, brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. Thus he had judged Israel twenty years. and in (NASB): Matthew 27:5 - And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. After reading these look in your Bibles at the surrounding verses and let me know how Holy Spirit leads you to perceive it. This all I have foe today, you all have a nice one. The Church part 3

Hello! I didn't get much sleep yesterday and I am winding down from working third all night so excuse me in advance for any typos or babbles :). I was reading yesterday what I had written and I noticed I use a lot of I's and I would like to iterate or re-iterate that the I being referred to is the new creation In Christ, led by the Holy Spirit. Even though I am a new creation I still must check my motives, assure the strength being called upon mine or His-ours. For example if I go to typing in this blog without prayer and acknowledgment of God's sovereignty then I might as well be beating a dead horse. My intentions may be right on, but they will always miss the mark in my own strength apart from Jesus. You know the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions. Now some randoms on the Church :
1. When a church allows God's presence and activity to be expressed, a watching world will be drawn to Him. ( Experiencing God )
2. The Church, the Body of Christ must keep the focus on God and ask the right questions from a God centerdness.
3. The Church together must submit to the head, Jesus Christ to transform the world.
4. God wants His people to be holy and pure. (1 Peter 1:15-16 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, " YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.") ( Ephesians 5:27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.)
5. God wants His people to display unity. (John 17:22-23 "The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.) ( Colossians 3:14 - Beyond all these things {put on} love, which is the perfect bond of unity.)
6. God wants His people to love each other ( Romans 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.) ( 1Peter 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,)

The Church part 2

Hi :) Good day to you all. I am now continuing what I started on the church. Here is what I put in part 1: A local church, living out together the life of Christ is God's strategy to change the world. Christ created, built His church : Matt 16:18 "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. Christ uses truthful Spirit led shepherds/pastors Eph. 4:11-13 And He gave some {as} apostles, and some {as} prophets, and some {as} evangelists, and some {as} pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Christ arranges each member in each church according to His will 1 Cor. 12:18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.

Here is part 2: (NASB): 1 Corinthians 12:27 - ¶ Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it. The church is a living body of Christ with many members. The church is not a building or organization, it is a group of people built up into a living body. (NASB): Ephesians 1:22 - And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,The church is uniquely related to Christ as Head of the body. (NASB): Ephesians 4:15-16 - but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all {aspects} into Him who is the head, {even} Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. All matters of the church are to come under Christ's Lordship. In 1 Corinthians 12 we see that members of a church are also uniquely related to each other. All members are interdependent of each other and all members need each other! (NASB): Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Child Faith

Hi there campers. What beautiful weather we have been having. I love the warm weather or hot as some call it, I guess I am a boy of summer. I know I said I was doing a series on the church and what I believe God says about it through the Bible, but I was struck by the thought of childlike faith this morning. I was remembering of when I was a child and how I always wanted to be doing what my Daddy was doing. I mean I couldn't wait to cut grass or wash the car or fix something in the workshop or clean the pool or whatever. It was what I was consumed with, it was like I couldn't wait to be like my father.
Matthew 18:3 - and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
This brings me to child faith wanting every moment of every day to be like my Father to be focused on what He is doing. Can I do it, no; not in my own strength, but His!
1 Corinthians 14:20 - ¶ Brethren, do not be children in your thinking; yet in evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature.

God and Golf

Hey there! Good weekend to everyone! Everyone take a moment please right now and pray for the Locke Family in Florida during gay day! Gay people are very confused I believe, VERY ! I am sure Michael and his family will reflect Christ to all that come in contact with them. I am not on the church this morning, even though I wanted to; but I learned a neat lesson yesterday while golfing. You see the Haven of Rest had its annual golf tourney at Southern Oaks in Easly and I attempted to play in it. Praise God for whoever came up with captains choice rules! My team mates where Dow Welsh pastor of Northside Christian and Quincy Waters and an Engineer named Jeff Gilreath. Jeff was my cart-mate and they all ended up giving me lots of pointers on the game of golf. All I can say is, is that I was very consistent with drives putts lobs and pitches they where all pretty much off the mark. During one of the drives to the ball Jeff was explaining to me the physics of hitting down to make the ball go up and that got us onto how we have to die to self to truly live! It was great. God is good, all the time and all the time God is good! He has His examples out there all around us if we look with His eyes I believe. Another thing Mr. Gilreath and I talked about was how when Jesus was on the cross and the thieves on either side of Him had their legs broken so that they would hurry up and die, but Jesus was already dead and didn't have to have His broken. We talked about how God has to break our legs so that we die to self. I was very tired, having a 1:00 tee-time and coming straight off the night shift to the tourney, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world! I would like to ask all the readers to pray for the Haven of Rest and especially pray for the lives God is changing through the Haven of Rest and all of its ministries.

The Church part 1

Hello and good day to ya! I am going to do a series on a Biblical view of the church. I am not by any means pointing any fingers at any church, I am just going to be stating the Word of God and how the Spirit has led me to perceive it.
A local church, living out together the life of Christ is God's strategy to change the world. Christ created, built His church : Matt 16:18 "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. Christ uses truthful Spirit led shepherds/pastors Eph. 4:11-13 And He gave some {as} apostles, and some {as} prophets, and some {as} evangelists, and some {as} pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. Christ arranges each member in each church according to His will 1 Cor. 12:18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.

Guess what part 2 will be tomorrow hope you are informed and maybe enlightened by God's everlasting ever fresh ever new unchanging Word!

Pentecost X 3

This past Sunday in church my pastor said the words 1st Pentecost and that sparked me into finding the other Pentecosts. Here they are!

Acts 2:4-5 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance. Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.
Now here we are seeing Jews, in a group; being baptized by the Holy Spirit. This is always done in a group and not an individual experience.
Acts 8:14-17 Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit. For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.
Now here we are seeing Samaratins, in a group; being baptized by the Holy Spirit. The Samaratins had to have the same experience as the Jews so the Jews could identify them as Christian Brethren.
Acts 10:44-47 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, "Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?"
Now here we are seeing Gentiles, that would have been me back then; being baptized by the Holy Spirit. As the Samaratins, the Gentiles had to have the same experience so that the Jews could identify them as Christian Brethren.

All of these Pentecosts happened in groups of people and happened once.

Why does the NIV leave it out...? Whole books have been written on the manuscript evidence that supports inclusion of this verse in the Bible. Reader, do you believe in the triunity of God? If so, then this deletion should offend you. People are playing around with the Bible and it ain't funny.

James 5:16- Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

In my Sunday school class we are doing this book and it is all about growing more like Christ and becoming more acquainted with each other in doing so. Whenever I think about this, it always reminds me of this verse. One of our teachers, Erin Finnel mentioned in class the other day that when you see a therefore at the beginning of a verse that you look back and see what it is there for! Therefore is always the conclusion of a thought or command, anyway I suggest everyone read the whole chapter even the whole book, it's not that long. The book of James jumps all over me when I read it. James 5:16 speaks to me so much because I live in shame and I believe others do too, because we live these double lives or we have these secret sins that no one else knows about. I used to hate the fact of small town living because everyone knows your business, and in some ways I still do not like it, but it is good when others know your business or sins or faults or whatever and through Christ or Christ through them, they stand by you and overcome that sin with you, our freedom In Christ is His service, through us; to one another.

I may have written on it before and if I wrote something different before then I have grown from that to this: There is no right or wrong for those of us In Christ only love and forgiveness. I guess in Heavenly terms it is called Grace and Mercy. I hopefully will wake up later and expound on this.

Complete In Christ

Hi, I am still stuck on perfection! Here are a few thoughts on it! I will never know what it means to be Complete In Christ until I know I need to know it!

“Progress is only advancing in the knowledge, the spiritual knowledge, of what we really possess at the outset. It is like ascending a ladder. The ladder is grace. The first step is, we believe that the Lord Jesus was sent of God; second, that in the fullness of His work we are justified; third, we make His acquaintance; fourth, we come to see Him in heaven; we know our association with Him there, and His power here; fifth, we learn the mystery, the great things we are entitled to because of being His body; sixth, that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ; seventh, lost in wonder and in praise in the knowledge of Himself” (J. B. Stoney).

1.By God's amazing grace I am IN Christ, the rest of my days here on earth is experiencing Christ in me. I pray that the Lord open my heart as a communicator to know the Truth. Colossians 1:27 - to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ is in me to do the Father's will. Since I am a new creation In Christ then I need to prove it. Ask, am I calling God a liar with disobedience?
2.God doesn't want me to be happy with God, but to be Holy in God. Happy comes from happenings and circumstances, joy is a fruit of the Spirit. there is therefore now no condemnation to those... who do not walk according to the flesh (SARX), but according to the Spirit (PNEUMOS)... for the mind of the flesh (SARX) is death; but the mind of the Spirit (PHRONEMA TOU PNEUMATOS) is life and peace; because of this the mind of the flesh (SARX) is enmity towards God... those in the flesh (SARX) are not able to please God... if anyone has not the Spirit (PNEUMOS) of Christ, this one is not His... for as many as are led by the Spirit (PNEUMOS) of God, these are sons of God." -Romans 8 (Interlinear Bible) Pneumos is translated breath and in Scripture is translated Breath Of GOD, or Spirit of God. Awesome even God's Breath brings perfect life!
3.I need to get educated out of my intelligence. Be transformed into Jesus, talk like Jesus, walk like Jesus. Jesus never reacted, but instead He responded with His Father. His focus was always on His Father, GOD!
4.I am the canvas Christ is painting on and He is the perfect Artist! Who gets the Glory- the picture or the artist? Am I surrendered to a blessing from God or God? I need to be thankful for the bad things God kept me from yesterday, heck this morning even, 1 second ago even. Attitude of gratitude!

More On Perfection

For some reason it is still circling my mind. I am just going to share what the Bible says here. Colossians 2:6-14 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, {so} walk in Him, having been firmly rooted {and now} being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, {and} overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Death has been nailed to the cross with all that was wrong with our lives. 2000 years ago I died on a cross with Christ! Amen Amen! You know I hear the phrase "You're only human it's ok" and that phrase is beginning to IRK me!

Well hello, thank you for dropping in! I was reading a daily devotion this morning online and one of the summarizes read like this : You are imperfect – Living with an imperfect person requires patience. You, my friend, are an imperfect person, and there are some people who require patience to live with you! (Think about who they are and thank them today.) When I read this it made me want to give up. I am not imperfect, I am a new creation In Christ! My condition was imperfection, but my position today is perfect before God. God looks at me and sees Jesus. There are some verses I want to share and when you read them you can hopefully see where I am coming from when I say that the statement I read in the devotion is a defeated attitude and wrong! Here are the verses : Colossians 1:25 - 28 Of {this church} I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the {preaching of} the word of God, {that is,} the mystery which has been hidden from the {past} ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.
The hope of Glory; Jesus Christ is in me!
James 1:2-4 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
That statement I read was speaking of being patient with imperfection, I read this and patience is part of perfection.
There are many more verses I could give, but I think these last two will get the point across I believe the Holy Spirit helped me to understand and they are : Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. and Matthew 5:43-48 "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on {the} evil and {the} good, and sends rain on {the} righteous and {the} unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? "If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing {than others?} Do not even the Gentiles do the same? "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
The main verse there I have in red and that is Matt 5:48, this verse looks kind of like a commandment to me. I mean it is telling me, Kyle Payne; to be perfect like God and I believe in Galatians 5:16 it tells me how, let the Holy Spirit do it. Hi there. It is Tuesday and I got great news this morning. It seems that 1st is in my future. This may not thrill any of you, but to me it is like climbing that first big hill on the Scream Machine before you blast off!
You know I was thinking again this morning, and I was wandering on some ways still I could implement into my daily walk with Christ so that I could maybe walk to a higher ground so to speak with Christ and as I was thinking on this while hustling and bustling about on my job 3 passages went BAM through my mind and you probably already guessed that they are Luke 9:23, 1 Thes. 5:17, and 2 Cor. 13:5.

1. Luke 9:23 And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
This is such a powerful verse, it is in a basic since telling me to reckon myself dead with Christ and to put Him first in all things.

2. 1Thes. 5:17 pray without ceasing
I used to wonder how does one pray continuously? This may be wrong but Christ has indwelled me and is praying for me, I also need to keep a continuing continuous contact with GOD. If or when I mess up and sin I know it because the Holy Spirit lets me know and when I i feel that conviction then prayer is the way to confess it and recieve forgiveness.

3. 2 Cor. 13:5 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you--unless indeed you fail the test?
This verse tells me that I am going to do things my way and in my will and not through Faith.

Now these 3 verses I am writing down on 3 separate 3x5 cards and I am going to implement them throughout my day. I may even write them on cards for home and some for work and some to carry around with me. If anyone else does this too get back with me here in a month or so and let us see what has come of it.

Make it Happen

Hello everyone, if there are any religious readers of this blog I am sorry for not posting this week. This work schedule and my own head has had me messed up! Praise God through His merciful love He sent His Spirit to renew me. You know often when I fall short and miss the mark I ask myself what made this happen, why did I do this habitual sin again, why did I know I was going to do and not try to stop myself from doing it? How do I put in action the tools necessary for me to grow and continue no longer in certain dominating sins? This past week God has been taking me camping in the books of Peter. You see I was at work the other morning and things were slow so I was reading my Bible. I didn't know what I should read so I read some Psalms and Proverbs, then I went to 1Peter, then I said you know I ought to read the Bible by the chart in the back so I flipped to that days date May 1 or 2 and it had 2Samuel 13 & 14 and 1Peter 1. I read 1Peter a few times over the next few days and then yesterday I read 2Peter. Then God told me through His everlasting fresh and new Word how to use my tools. 2 Peter 1:3-11 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of {the} divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust. Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in {your} moral excellence, knowledge, and in {your} knowledge, self-control, and in {your} self-control, perseverance, and in {your} perseverance, godliness, and in {your} godliness, brotherly kindness, and in {your} brotherly kindness, love. For if these {qualities} are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these {qualities} is blind {or} short-sighted, having forgotten {his} purification from his former sins. Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

Hi there folks, hope all is well with whoever you are reading this! Norman Vincent Peale is a great author. I just want to put that in here. :) To touch on what I read in another blog about Melissa yesterday, she fought and fought and she was ready to meet her Father.

Ok folks I am about to let y'all in on one of my thought processes and it may seem weird, but to me it's natural; so now, here comes the madness. I am at work this morning you see and I was looking at my leg and how one of my many scars has been kind of erased by me getting bigger. Then I got to thinking that if I lose weight then I'll look and feel better but that ugly scar will probably show back up. Stick with me here b/c I am getting somewhere with this. Then my brain automatically switched to how when I used give my car a good wash and wax and polish job how it made all the dents, dings and scratches stick out more. Then my brain jumped to how when the Holy Spirit started working on me and how I started changing and acting different, and how now Spiritually I am polished up and the Holy Wax of the Holy Spirit is making my personal dents and dings and scratches stand way out for me to notice easier and allow God to repair and replace. Well that is all I got this morning.

The Mind of Christ

In this young Christian life of mine I have had to look at things as black or white, right or wrong, but I am learning that the mind of Christ is open to all things, to understand them and heal them and reconcile them. What may be right for this world may be wrong wrong in this Spiritual world, or what may be right for some may be wrong for others: Romans 14:14 - I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him who thinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. Romans 15:7 - ¶ Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.
I have and you all have probably heard the saying "No news is good news." The devil works in our minds, he also uses people like carriers, like carrier pigeons; to talk about and spread news or gossip. Just read 1 kings ch.21 and see how Jezebel did this. The only news I should even be considering talking about is the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ and Him resurrected and ascended and living in me and He wants that for us all. This is the only news I am commanded to talk about: Matthew 28:18 - And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matthew 28:20 - teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Let us look to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the Throne of God. Consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, unless we become tired and faint in our minds. The Spirit of Christ in me is my right mind! My right right!
Philippians 2:5 - Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
Romans 15:6 - so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Corinthians 2:16 - For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
Isaiah 51:1 - "Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness, Who seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were hewn And to the quarry from which you were dug.

Feelings

Woohoo it'd Friday. Good day to y'all.

I was at work this morning and a thought was circling my mind about how some of the churches I have been to and some I have seen on the tube, even here in our own area have these services that make you feel good and entertain you. Correct me if I am wrong but, I think this is the wrong way. I don't go to church to feel good, or "To get the blessing" the blessing has already been given, it is up to me to appropriate it IN Christ. I see these people talk about did you see what he did this week or so and so was fired up today the spirit was really working. The Spirit is always working! Maybe it's a mote note, but we as True Christian Disciples of Christ need to sacrifice, I do not do it like I should either. There is this song out called "So Long Self" by Mercy Me that is so true. Say goodbye to the old self, that man is dead his flesh wants to be entertained, to be gratified, but the new man the Christ Man wants to do only what He sees His Father doing. The Father being God , of course. I am sorry if anyone disagrees with me and correct me if I am wrong again but it's not about the entertainment or the feeling. If I wanted to be entertained and let my flesh feel something I'll go to the dope mans house and take a hit of crack! Who in there RIGHT mind would do that? The answer is no one, only an insane confused lost person would! Believe me, I know. Well, I am through now, Have a wonderful weekend!

Glorious Light

Goooood Morning to ya! The weather is getting right again, and I love it. The week is coming to an end and I just continue to be amazed day after day, if I allow myself to be. I work 3rd shift now, and a wonderful thing happened this morning. You see towards the end of the shift I have a buggy or yarn waste that I have to take through the mill to this area where the waste is bailed and recycled I guess. Every morning there is this guy sitting there on the forklift eating his breakfast waiting for his shift to start. We always speak and give each other the usual have a nice day bit, but this morning I had emptied my buggy and said have a nice day and pushed my buggy out of the room. I was about 5 or 6 steps out of the room when I was stopped dead in my tracks, and all I could think about was I need to turn around and talk with this man about Jesus Christ and that is what happened. I was led back into the room and we talked about church and salvation and Christ and his family. This man is not saved yet, but a seed has been planted and God willing if he is there in the morning some fertilizer is going to be put on that seed.
Now to the title GLORIOUS LIGHT. I have for a while been amazed by Genesis 1 where it talks about God said " Let there be Light " and it was the first day and then on the fourth day he made the stars and moons. I have wondered and pondered just exactly what was that light in Genesis 1:3 on that first ever day in time. Then, a couple of days ago; I was reading in Habakkuk and saw ch.3:4. And it goes a lil something like this: Habakkuk 3:4 - {His} radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays {flashing} from His hand, And there is the hiding of His power.
When I read it, I thought back to Genesis and it just clicked to me. So this is how it clicked: Genesis 1:3 - Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. Genesis 1:4 - God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:5 - God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. Habakkuk 3:4 - {His} radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays {flashing} from His hand, And there is the hiding of His power. Genesis 1:14 - ¶ Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; Genesis 1:15 - and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. Genesis 1:16 - God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; {He made} the stars also. Genesis 1:17 - God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, Genesis 1:18 - and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:19 - There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

Self Defense, Justified

Good day mates! This post may a bit choppy and I hope it makes sense. The verses I post I hope you will look up and read the chapters the are in to get and see the whole context in which they are stated.

(NASB): Romans 4:10 - How then was it credited? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised;
This verse here when I read it is telling me that Abraham, chosen father of all nations; was accepted by faith not the law of circumcision. We know How Abraham and Sarah had that child too, very very late in life. (NASB): Romans 4:18 - In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, "SO SHALL YOUR DESCENDANTS BE." FAITH!

I am jumping down to vs 21 through Romans 5:1
(NASB): Romans 4:21-25, Romans 5:1-2 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,- and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. Therefore IT WAS ALSO CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. Now not for his sake only was it written that it was credited to him, but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, {He} who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
I have been justified (declared righteous through/be the blood of Christ) and I, this part of the Body of Christ; am at one with God ( the source of present blessings) reconciled to Him through/by Christ. The only defense I have for my sins now or future is Christ! So when I or satan or others point out my sin/sins, all I can do is agree with them and point to the cross,to Jesus risen and ascended as my defense and Praise GOD for the renewing and regenerating Holy Spirit in me, bringing me to repentance.

P.S You will see how in the beginning of the post I used by faith and the rest of it was through/by faith. I put it this way because of a new-old covenant context.

Hello there nice people. It is Monday morning here, time to jump-start the day and face the work week! You know those people at work we wish we could avoid because they un-nerve us? Let us, just for today; un-nerve them with genuine kindness if you think you can't do it then pray my friend pray. Give it to God. :)

I was reading this morning in Luke ch. 24 and my eyes were opened. I love how God's word is fresh and new every time I read it. What struck me when I was reading was in verses 25-27 how he told Cleopus and Simon, (I know Cleopus was there but, I am not sure if Simon was w/ Cleopus.) Also one of the Mary's at the cross was Mary the wife of Cleopus maybe it is the same Cleopus. I digress though. Luke 24:25 - And He said to them, "O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Luke 24:26 - "Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?"
You see earlier in verse 17 Jesus noticed they were sad and walking with their heads held low. Luke 24:17 - And He said to them, "What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking?" And they stood still, looking sad. Now Jesus knew why they were sad but, wanted them to explain it so He could one more time show them how it has all been leading to this and that it was necessary and not a sad occasion but a need one. Christ even walked them through the Old Testament starting with Moses through all the prophets. Luke 24:27 - Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. Now that would have been a great Bible lesson to have been at! As I was reading all this I was thinking at how when I watch the movie "The Passion of Christ" how I get all teary eyed and sad at the way we treated our King and I believe that emotion or feeling of sadness and or anger is just a cover for me. I should really be out letting Him live through me. Doing this i believe will cause me to suffer as He did, maybe not as bad; one never knows though, but it will be all right because it will do nothing but allow me to enter into His Glory with Him. So let us turn that sad frown upside down and face the world with a smile knowing the reason we have hope,.....Jesus Christ!

Predestination?

Hello world! well it is Thursday and I am alive woohooo! :) Thisis coming out later than usual because I was reading an e-mail my Aunt Anette sent my dad and he sent to me it was one telling of a commentary that she reads by Adam Clarke. Her e-mail was touching on Predestination. A touchy subject for some of you Hyper Calvin types ;). I have never within my lil pnut brain been able to think that I have no choice in the matter. Anyway here is just a lil part of my belief on why I know I had to accept Christ and why I believe others aren't chosen before the foundation of the world to go spend eternity in hell.

You see it is like this: Christ always has been. The 3 n 1 thing you know. He came to earth as Jesus, He left eternity to live in time. Eternity has no beginning or no end, it just is. When Jesus ascended He went back to eternity, but He also transcends through time to me and you and the world drawing us to Him. So, when I feel that 'ol tug upon my heart and I accept Christ as my Lord and Saviour then I am indwelt by Christ and positionally I am right there in Heaven, in eternity with Christ but conditionally I am right here in time on earth. This means I am IN Christ and Christ is in me. Ephesians 1:1- 4 - Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, ¶ To the saints who are at Ephesus and {who are} faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed {be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly {places} in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
Then one day while reading the Bible God opened my eyes to this: Isaiah 42:1 - "Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one {in whom} My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.
I immediately heard in my mind that I am chosen IN Christ, Christ is the elect, the chosen, the predestined of God. Makes perfect sense to me now. Maybe none of you have ever wrestled with the predestination thing but I have been hung up on it for a while. If anyone wishes to educate me feel free. Good day blog readers, I hope all is well! There is a lady I have not met, but that I know of who is trying to help another lady kick a certain habit so if whoever reads this will include this new Christian sister who accepted Christ on Easter in there prayers that she continue with the strength and virtue of wanting to lay-aside this problem and get to the root of her issues; it will be grrrreatly appreciated.

Journal is my title and i decided to put some excerpts from one of my journals I keep, don't worry I am not going to give ya the bleeding heart part just the verses and the meaning i get from them.

We are always in the presence of the Lord, we should always be humble. We are exalted in eternity, our actions here on earth are to Glorify God.

Where does guilt/condemnation come from? The devil

Positive/Great Expectations/Beneficial

I am currently reading 2 books by Norman Vincent Peale, "The Power of Positive Thinking" and "You Can if You Think You Can" and I as I got on here I was thinking of positive and how positive the Bible is and then I got to thinking about Onesimus, Philemon's slave that stole from him and took off. We catch up with Onesimus in prison with Paul and Paul of course having led Philemon to CHRIST and Onesimus to CHRIST sees the Positive and how beneficial these two can be to each other and those around them and he has those positive great expectations for them IN CHRIST for both of them. It got me to thinking of my relationship with GOD, and how I steal from GOD daily. I know GOD gives and gives and gives and I take and take and take, but I believe I grieve Him so much with my lack of an Attitude of Gratitude. I am bought with a price, but do I Glorify GOD in my body? Do I steal time here in this life that could be used to expand the Kingdom? YES!, but JESUS is always there for me. He is my advocate telling GOD of my Positive, Beneficial, great expectations. Will I go and rejoin my GOD and let Him work through me as Paul was writing Philemon, hoping Onesimus could rejoin him?

Romans 14:17 - for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:18 - For he who in this {way} serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.
Romans 14:12 - So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.
Romans 14:13 - Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this--not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother's way.
Romans 14:14 - I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him who thinks anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
That verse 14 there is a powerful verse, I believe totally that is is telling me to know my brother/sister. Telling me to get personal with him/her. I need to know where they are weak and what makes them weak. Of course not relying on or believing in the finished work of Christ on the cross makes us all weak and vulnerable to the attacks of the flesh/world/Devil, but if something that I am alright with, unconvicted by may even cause my brother to trip up a little bit in his walk with Christ then I need to stop, cease and desist! Boy it's hard ain't it. Let's say Larry is allergic to alcohol (this means every time he drinks, he breaks out in drunk, and something bad usually happens) and I know that Larry is this way, but thats his problem with alcohol not mine and I enjoy the taste of it anyway so BY GOD I don't care if Larry sees me drinking, I don't care if I invited him over; I'm gonna drink anyway. WRONG! Another example, I am a long time Christian and strong in my walk and faith, my daily actions prove it; but Monica over here is a new Sister IN Christ and new member at my church. One night I am out with some friends, other Christians and church members; at a restaurant, and we have a pitcher of beer on our table instead of Tea. Poor lil ol Monica is blown away and doesn't know what to think and is scared to even talk to her new pastor at her new church about these long time members and there actions. I mean I am sure the preacher could have put things in perspective, but... All of this is just leading me up to this: 1 Thessalonians 5:22 - abstain from every form of evil. some say this next verse applies to sexual immorality only, but I believe it doesn't, 1 Corinthians 6:12 - All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything
Do not let our freedoms become prisons for others.

Faith man, Faith; gives us victory. The new birth, the Spiritual birth causes the Spirit of God to indwell me, giving me Heavenly Power, access to all things of the divine nature. (2 Peter 1:4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.) Giving me a fellowship a personal intimate love relationship with God, with Jesus, with Holy Spirit, giving me victory over the world! This victory makes me more than a conqueror, we have won the battle without having to fight!
Romans 8:31-39 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? I know our feelings can betray us sometimes, but when I read these passages I feel the power of God welling up in me, even a little charismatic. :0

What I am about to post are some notes I took a while back from a couple of teachers of mine: Grace once bestowed, is not withdrawn: for God knew all the human exigencies beforehand; His action was independent of them, not dependent upon them. To believe and consent to be loved while unworthy is the great secret. To refuse to make resolutions and vows; for that is to trust in the flesh. to rely on God's chatening (child training) hand as a mark of His kindness. To hope to be better ( hence acceptable) is to fail to see myself IN Christ alone. To be disappointed with myself is to have believed myself. To be discouraged is unbelief - as to God's purpose and plan of blessing you. To be proud is to be blind. For we have no standing before God in ourselves. The lack of Divine Blessing, therefore comes from unbelief, and not from failure of devotion. To preach devotion first and blessin second is to reverse God's order and preach law, not grace. The law made man's blessing depend on devotion. Grace confers undeserved unconditional blessing: our devotion may follow but does not always do so in proper measure. Have I been afraid to really believe God? Have I been afraid to really let others believe Him? God's ways are not always my ways.
I am not trying to do good
I am not trying not to sin
I am not sinning
I am resting in the finished work of Christ-
the power of His ressurection
We walk by faith
God does not change- let the winds come
let the floods come - let the circumstances come
Let me see what is in me that changes so
God can rid me of it

Hi guys and gals, Fat Tuesday is gone and Ash Wednesday is here. Funny story, I was working in an Italian restaurant in Melbourne Fl. as a Psue chef and we had an open kitchen and it was Ash Wednesday so I see this older gentleman with a huge black mark on his forehead and I said "Sir, you have something on your forehead.", But it was there on purpose and then I noticed a Restaurant full of foreheads with black marks on them. It was an Ash Wednesday thing I didn't understand.
Anyway, the title up there is POP, Power Of Prayer; I was praying Monday night before I went to bed and part of the prayer was for our youth at church then it expanded to youth at Upwards then I did something dangerous, I started thinking; I thought about all youth and how none should be excluded in prayer and wondered how all youth could be reached. Then yesterday at work, out of the blue i get a phone call fron Jennifer W. asking me if I wanted to go to an FCA speaker/dinner, so I said sure, man I tell ya that was God, all God. FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes is doing something big in our schools. If anyone who reads this wants to get involved, then do it. One comment was made about Pay now or you can pay later, refering to you can help a youth now or it can come back to haunt you as that youth you could have helped is robbing you 5 years later. So lets pray for FCA and all the youth that they are affected by it in there schools. The speaker who closed the meeting said something I liked too. She said "Prayer is the muscle that moves God's arm."

Commit

Hi, good morning and such. So, it is tuesday; the day before lent starts and what do I want to give up? I have never really practiced this lent and it seems kind of silly to me just to give something up for how ever long it is you give it up for. I mean if I give something up for God, shouldn't it be a daily commitment? I have really been thinking what do I want to commit to God for lent and I got some things, but these are things I have struggled to commit to Him on a daily basis. I hear of recommitments alot and I have done it or said I recommit my life to the Lord before too, but over the past couple of years my view on that has changed as well and maybe it is just sematics but i believe if you are committed to something you never lose commitment you just do not exercise it and become weaker and flabbier. A muscle grows by being stretched and our commitment to God must be stretched. I was talking to a guy yesterday I never got his name but we were talking about God and he was talking of impossibilities of living a godly life. I thought to myself what a defeated attitude. Matthew 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." I guess I have rambled on long enough to say this lent is for however long it is and it may be easier for us to commit things to God just for a season, but I am gonna make lent last just one day, every day.

Goooooooood Monday mornin people. Ok everyone, raise your hands twist your neck, stretch around and then sing the chorus of your favorite song! This might help those Monday mornin blues. :)
My pastor at church this Sunday read from the old testament 3 verses out of Jeremiah that are some of my favorite verses Jer 29:11-13 For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I love these verses especially #13 You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart, this is the kicker to 11 and 12! Which leads me to another verse that was read Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Now we know how and where to search huh, I love it, and the reason I put these verses in this mornin is because I woke up and they were fresh to me, fresh on my mind those verses and these 2 as well Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

God is good. Have a wonderful day! I think it was D.L. Moody who purposed to tell at least one person a day about Jesus Christ and His saving grace, maybe we can too, if we aren't already.

Good morning! It is good to be home. Most of you know I went to my ancestral home of Macon Ga to lay to rest my Aunt Peggy. If you guys think your family is rough some times then come to Macon and spend 3 days with mine! Nahhh, I love em! Tuesday the preacher that was giving the service stopped by Grandma's house to drop off some food with his wife. I asked him the name of his church and he said 1st Christian of Warner Robbins, so I asked what he believed and he said that it is a non denominational church and it was like a baptist church except they do not believe in eternal salvation and after he said that I asked him if he got that from Hebrews and he said there and a lot of other places, but he did not go into detail. Then at the service the following day he did a good job of relating to everyone and he only said one thing I disagreed with he said How you live this life here on earth will decide where you spend eternity. Am I being picky or is that just wrong?

Good Monday mornin to everyone!! Aren't Monday's wonderful? I am going out of town today to attend my Aunt Peggy's funeral so there may be no post tomorrow or wednesday. :( Keep me and my family in your prayers please.

Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.

Now my last blog I wrote here was called waterworld and was about not letting the world rub off on you and in this blog I want to write about letting us as Disciples of Christ rub off on the world. In Matt 5:13 it calls us the salt of the world and back in those days salt wasn't used for flavor too much and it wasn't gotten from the local salt refinery either. It was gotten from the water and had other stuff in there with it, ekkk. It was used mainly as a preservative to keep meat from rotting and decaying, it was rubbed all over that meat to preserve it, to save it. Now when that salt lost its flavor or preservability it was often cast into the fronts of houses and used as a walk way. So just as the salt was rubbed on the meat we also should rub onto the world, setting the example of Christ wherever we go!, to save a rotting and decaying world. So lets stay salty and keep letting Christ rub off of us onto the world.

Water World

Good Morning Cyber World. I'm running late, so this will be short and sweet.
You ever heard anyone say "Be in the world but, not of the world." ? It is in the Bible somewhere and probably I totally paraphrased it but, I was reminded of it this morning as I was thinking about a boat. If I got me a boat and I got it out there on pretty Hartwell Lake I am gonna float around and have a good `ol time. A boat will float until it starts to fill up with water then it does what we call sinking. The boat, and me, will sit on that water all pretty and joyful, then let the water (the world) start to seep in and there is fear doubt anger bitterness and just an overall sinking feeling, so let us be on the water but not in the water.

Exchanged Life

Isaiah 40:28-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Man these are beautiful verses. Where it says "those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength", is that exchanged life I am talking about. Those words "Gain new" or "Renew" are literally translated "Exchange" in the Hebrew! The exchanged life I speak of is all of ours,through faith. It is our Identity IN CHRIST. We are a new creation IN CHRIST, what was reality to us no longer is, now we have TRUTH!

2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Christ has given me a new life. He has not changed my old way of selfish living, but in fact - in faith, He has given me a new life to exchange for the original sinful life I had. The only thing GOD can do with my old rotten stinking flesh is to crucify it, nail it to the cross!

Freedom

Galatians 5:1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

Christ has done everything for every Christian to be free, but it is possible to revert to our former ways of living under the law and remain in bondage. I do not need to pray and beg for God to set me free. that has already been done. I can continue to live in bondage if I fail to believe the Truth or do not continue to live by faith of what God says is Truth. I need to understand my Identity In Christ (Gal 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.), my Position In Christ (Ephesians 2:5-6 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus), and Authority In Christ (Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ) ; to see the freedom I have been brought into.
John 8:31-32 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

Procrastination

Goooooood Morning! and Brrrrrrrrrrrrr. Let me ask you this, what is the greatest nation on earth ? Do-nation! What is the most wretched nation on earth? Procrasti-nation! I heard a story once of Satan, Lucifer talking with his minions, his imps as if they were in a business meeting trying to come up with new strategies to get the numbers up (souls). The 1st imp said "Lets put scantily clad members of the opposite sex all around them to distract them." Satan replied "Been there done that, NEXT!" The 2nd imp said "Lets pollute there mind with stuff, let them get purpose from possesions." Satan said " Ehhhh, it's just not bringing them like it used to. Then a 3rd imp stood up all proud and said as he swaggered about "Let's let them think that they have all the time in the world before there time is up to accept Jesus Christ as there personal savior." Satan, with a devilish grin said YES let them put off today what we can get them to put off tomorrow too, HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAA!
James 4:14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.
Tomorrow can be such a dangerous word, it can keep people from coming to Christ or keep Christians from spreading the Gospel of Christ! Procrastination never takes into account the uncertainty of life. Procrastination does nothing but give me the perception that I am in control of tomorrow. When I have a perception like that I am playing God, I am my God. WHOA! You know what happens when I think I am in control, a lot of running in circles, and those circles form ruts and work there way into a downward spiral! The best time to do what is right is right now, the present.

The Cross

God is so good isin't He! Yesterday after the choir sang Holy Holy Holy, Lord Almighty, one of Pastor Dale Lynch's thanks and remarks to the choir was "Thank you for taking us to the cross." The Cross, where I died with Jesus 2000 years ago. The Cross which I am commanded to take up daily and deny myself and follow Jesus. Where, to Calvary! Why, not to crucify the old me, but to crucify the flesh that I still live in. Romans 6:5-8 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, Man this is so beautiful to read, but so hard to live, I believe it yes, but does that show in my actions, not always. Praise God for 1John 1:9!! I have got to understand and appropriate Truth in 2 aspects : growth and service : Christ died for me and I died in His death. God I believe wants to make my bias His cross. God can not raise what is already alive so He sent His Son to die a most humiliating death so that He could have fellowship with me. Eternal life had to die because that is what it took God to do to save me from sin, His wrath and myself! The cross must cross me out and not change my life, but exchange my life with Christ's life. Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. That is the NASB version I kinda like the KJV version better where it says "Not I, but Christ" So, as we start this day or if we have to restart this day let us do it by denying our self, our lust of the eyes, our lust of the flesh, and our pride of life and take up our cross and follow jesus, and I pray we all keep "Not I, but Christ" in our forethought.

Sole Authority

Good morning and good day to all. Matthew 7:1-5 Do not judge so that you will not be judged. "For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye? "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
These verses jump all over me! I am the worlds worst at putting everybody else up under the microscope and finding what I think is wrong with them. This here lays it out for me, examine myself, be without sin before I try to help another or "Constructively criticise" another. i put on here how little growth has taken place in me since salvation last week I think and my growth In Christ and ability to help others as well is proportionate to my Biblical examination of self and the application of God's word in my life. Man this is so easy to type, so easy to read, so easy to pray and say "YES' I commit to this!" and yes for me; so easily forgotten throughout the day. Practice makes perfect though so let none of us give up the good fight. The title is sole authority and it is that because I was thinkoing of how I judge others and assume things which 10 times out of 10 aren't true and how I use oothers a lot of times to measure myself with! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! My measuring stick has to be the Bible! It must be the Sole Authority in my life.

Our Father You and You alone are GReat. Father forgive me. God I thank YOU for Your Word, thank You for the Word in flesh. God I miss the mark so much everyday, yet You love me through it. Lord I pray my will be constantly turned over to You. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

I am gonna put the time in my blog so you all do not think I have a sleeping disorder. My clock is right on the monitor here and my profile timezone is correct so I dunno what the malfunction is. Anyway, here I sit at 4:50 am Thur. morn watching the snow fall and have no idea what I wanna say today. Well it is snowing, our sins are washed white as snow which means I have been forgiven and that sin is no longer on me but it does remain in me, my members. You know how it goes ... what i don't want to do I do and what i would do I don't do. Who shall save me from this body of death? I thank the Lord that through Jesus I am saved, even though sometimes I do not "act" like it. This reminds me of a story of this lady that got pulled over, you see she had just gotten cut off by another driver and she went irate, she was throwin out curse words and throwin up hand gestures and just blew up, and lost control of her emotions. After being pulled over by the officer the lady started yelling at the cop about the driver who cut her off. The officer then placed his hand on his holster and asked the lady for license and registration please. The lady still irate handed the documents over and said "WHY ARE YOU BOTHERING WITH ME!" After verifying all was legit with the lady and the car the officer told her that he thought the car was stolen after seeing the Jesus bumper sticker and then seeing the way she reacted.

I can say I am a Christian and have the outward appearance but my actions will tell on me wont they. I have often heard it put like this " I couldn't hear a word he said for his actions." Our actions as loving brotherly and sisterly Christians may be the only Bible some people read today. So, instead of reacting with Kyle I need to respond with Christ, this is not my reactability, but my responsibility

Appropriation/Faith

Hello there folks. I hope everyone has there bread and milk because I think a winter storm warning is coming. After reading Frank's and Cynthia's blog yesterday I just kept thinking about appropriation. For those who do not know what appropriation is, it is something set aside for our practical possession something that already belongs to us. I have learned through teachings and reading the Bible that everything is already mine Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, now since I see what is already mine "In Christ" I must be aware of my need for it. When i finaly see my need then it is only prctical to fill that need. The more I change in certain areas of my life (Repenting- turning away from what God disagrees with) the more i need a blessing to fill that area with.
Oh man I love Ephesians, the begining 3 chapters are beautiful and just full of our Eternal facts IN Christ.Which brings me to faith, simple simple faith. Faith is believing in the facts of God's Word. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.(KJV) Evidence is founded on facts. The eternal facts of the death burial and ressurection of Christ Jesus and me with Him!

Father in Heaven, I do adore You. I thank You. Lord I pray for the eyes of my heart to be opened. I pray my eyes be Your eyes, my speech Your speech, my will Your will. God strengthen my Christian brethren, give us Your wisdom to let us need Your need for our lives. Thank You God for my big Brother and King Jesus. In His name I pray Amen.

HI there blog readers! Top 'O the mornin to ye. Anothery blistery cold day. Woohoo. I have always loved cold weather, but from an indoor standing by the fireplace perspective. Now a days though I love being able to stand out in it even. Anyone who really knows me knows how cold natured I am. The Sonshine warms me up though. I was thinking yesterday about Sunday school and someone said we are saved to be free, Gayle Clinkscales I think and that got me to thinking of Galatians 5:1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Then that got me thinking on Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, " Abba! Father!" Then this leads me to John 15:15 No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for (A)all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. I love this verse, it is my emancipation proclomation! Yes we are to be disciplined I believe it is easier to be disciplined through a submissive will and obedient heart-mind. Christ is the Word in flesh, He has left Himself in His Word to us. He calls me a friend not a slave, a brother and not an alien. We, me and Christ have the same Father. That is Grace, forgiven to be given everything! "Those who have the deepest appreciation of grace do not continue in sin. First off I would just like to say what a great message from Pastor Dale Sunday Morn. I always defined Holy as seperated for God's Glory, but after this morning my definition differs a little, I was thinking of being in the world but not of the world and as Dale quoted C.S.Lewis on how we kill the English language I automaticaly thought of the word sematics and how the word seperated for God makes me isolated. The word Glory I define as God's eternal divine purpose, I believe His divine purpose is for us to be transformed into perfection, Jesus, we will be just like Jesus; just as our earthly purpose is to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ so... sematicaly saying Holy- Made different from who I was for God's eternal divine purpose.

Now on to the title, "Identified". For years I Identified myself by what I did. I thought who I hung out with made me accepted, I thought the drugs I did made me accepted, I thought living a life of total self gratification was "IT". Boy was I wrong. Man what a fool. Today, this moment, I know my identity "IN CHRIST" I was a slave to myself, bound by sin. Christ has set me free. I died with Christ , I am buried with Christ, I am risen with Christ, I am ascended with Christ, I am seated with Christ.

II Thessalonians 2: 13-15 13But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you[b] to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings[c] we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

Bondage Breaker

Satan, the primary adversary of God and man, has great and evil power as the prince of the world. Part of his plan is to decieve mankind, accuse believers before God, and to cripple God's children by getting them to sin. When I willingly or unknowingly am under the control of any power other than God's Holy Spirit ( for example- drugs alcohol sex another person my peer group a false religion a self centered habit like gossip or a self oriented desire for power wealth or even food ) I am in bondage to sin. Whenever I practice a particular sin, I place myself under its control. Being enslaved by this sin I can not claim to be wholeheartedly following Jesus Christ. However, as a sincere believer in Jesus Christ, God's grace mercy and power is provided to me to overcome the bondage of any sin. Lord Jesus Christ and I can overcome sinful habits by depending on His strength and being obedient to His word, thus the character of Christ is developed in me. Jesus Christ, through His redemptive death and victorious resurrection, has overcome the power of Satan.

You know in verses 4-6 Paul is looking back on his former life, a bad life he totally believed to be good. He saw his life from conversion to present in verses 7-14. Sitting here and reflecting also and reflecting on my conversion to now, I see the itsty bitsy teeny amount of growth that has occourred and I see how long it has taken for this to take place in me. It can be daunting at times and impatience can root, but then again I can't expect a lifetime to be overdone overnight. My old self still rears its ugly head and I do become resentful. ungrateful, and selfish still. I am all cleaned up now, trying to do the next right thing, but whos power am I trying in? Sometimes I forget what a sorry, rotten evil coniveing person I was and can be. Not a good person makingbad decisions, but a terrible sinner running from God.

I thank You , Oh God for fellowship with You. Through a sincere prayer, Holy Spirit, control and cleanse my thoughts and hearts from all sin. Let the Joy of You Lord be mystrength and compelling
power of love. Rule myconduct. Give me courage and strength in the moment of my trial, and an overcoming faith. As a Christian brother, enable me in the unity of faith and love to prove myself a faithful co-laborer with You in the expanding of Your Kingdom. May helpfulness in serving be my happiness. This is asked in accordance to Your will, In Jesus name, Amen.

I do not know who wrote this, but it is just beautiful to me.

Dying with Jesus, by death reckoned mine;

Living with Jesus, a new life divine;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine,
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
Moment by moment I’m kept in His love;
Moment by moment I’ve life from above;
Looking to Jesus till glory doth shine;
Moment by moment, O Lord, I am Thine.
Never a trial that He is not there,
Never a burden that He doth not bear,
Never a sorrow that He doth not share,
Moment by moment, I’m under His care.
Never a heartache, and never a groan,
Never a teardrop and never a moan;
Never a danger but there on the throne,
Moment by moment He thinks of His own.
Never a weakness that He doth not feel,
Never a sickness that He cannot heal;
Moment by moment, in woe or in weal,
Jesus my Savior, abides with me still.

Here is a little of my thoughts on a moment by moment life, day, moment.

This life for me, I make it hard, never wanting what was right and justifying all that was wrong; my life had become grey. Often I have heard "One day at a time," but for me it is one moment at a time each second of each minute of each hour of each day. Moment by moment the grey is wiped away, there is no black; there is no white only "Sonshine". Is each moment lived His way..., NO, but in a moment I can pray and restart this one day, moment by moment.

Our Father in Heaven, Your name is above all names! God forgive me my sins against you. In Your word you show me the Way Lord I pray that my needs be Your needs for me. I pray that fellowship be continued. Lord my life longs for Your intimate loving hand, life to lead me. Father whne will I truly hate sin? I pray that I do more and more, moment by moment. God I pray in the namesake of Jesus Your will be done through me. Lord guide my leaders, our country, our schools, our church. I pray that the Body of Christ the living breathing Church of Christ grow more abundantly. In Jesus Name I pray, Your will be done, Amen
